A 91精选 alumnus earned a third-place award for best sports picture essay recently during the Kentucky Intercollegiate Press Association awards banquet in Lexington. Jacob Kelly received the award for a photo essay chronicling a day in the life of 91精选 baseball player Dominick 鈥淒om鈥� Lawson. The photo essay was published in the May 2019 edition of Thorobred News, the student newspaper.

One 91精选 alumna has found her niche by creating a unique eyewear company. Brandy Ashford, a 2017 graduate, began an eyewear company called Focused on Forever, which sells wooden eyewear. 鈥淚鈥檓 the owner and visionary for Focused on Forever Eyewear, located in Hamburg Vision Center in Lexington,鈥� Ashford said.
