Last year, several KSU students including Lacey Trautwein and Christa Watson participated in a fall symposium. Trautwein, who presented an academic paper on Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, called the event 鈥渧ery enlightening.鈥

鈥淎s undergrads, many of us don鈥檛 get the opportunity to show off their research, but with this symposium, we can,鈥 Trautwein said. 鈥淚t was a wonderful opportunity and I encourage students doing all types of research to participate.鈥

KSU student Watson was one of the interviewers who posed questions to the student presenters. She said that the fall activity allowed the participants a chance to sharpen their public-speaking skills and be informed about their peers鈥 projects.

鈥淭here is a lot of research being done on this campus that I knew nothing about before attending the symposium,鈥欌 she said.
