Faculty, Staff, Students, Alumni:

As I woke up this morning to hear the devastating news from Orlando, Florida, about the horrific shooting at a nightclub frequented by members of the LGBT community, my heart immediately felt sorrow and pain for the families and loved ones of the victims.  The 91精选 community joins the rest of the country as we grieve for the victims of this tragic and senseless act of violence.

91精选 is proud to be the most diverse college in the Commonwealth. We are a strong campus because of the contributions of all of our students, faculty, staff and alumni.

KSU remains committed to its stance as a diverse and inclusive university that respects and honors all people no matter what their age, race, gender, creed, culture, religion or sexual orientation.

Counseling services will be offered through 91精选鈥檚 OUTlet Center that serves the LBGT community.

Our flag will be flown at half-staff and 91精选 will hold a moment of silence at 2:02 p.m. Monday to honor the memory of those murdered or injured during the siege that began at 2:02 a.m. Sunday.

In sadness and support,

Aaron Thompson, Ph.D.

Interim President
